leigh bought me another bag of craisins today to replace the bag i finished between sunday and monday.
seriously, i've heard of these things before, but never tried them before 3 days ago and i'm totally hooked.
you can blame it on msnbc... really. when i was in pittsburgh for thanksgiving, they did a short spot on health benefits of cranberries (e.g. see here: http://www.cranberryinstitute.org/emerging.htm or in more plain english: http://www.alderlakecranberry.com/healthonfo.asp or http://www.uscranberries.com/eng/consumer/health.cfm). apparently that, coupled with the ocean spray commercials they played right during the report stuck with my subconscious, so that when i went to buy a snack for the week i ended up with a bag of the aforementioned craisins.
now i can't stop eating the darn things. -- if you haven't had them, they're quite tasty.
(oh, and in case you're wondering why leigh magically appeared to replace my food... (a) she knows my wednesdays are exceedingly long and tiring, and (b) she feels guilty when she makes fudge (or anything else i've basically cut out of my diet) while i'm home to witness and be tempted, as she did on monday night, which is kind of funny, because whether i'm home when she bakes or not, the results are still in my kitchen the rest of the week anyhow... but mostly (c) leigh is just plain nice.)
to summarize: craisins rock -- you should try them too. :P
