update

remember this post? trouble comes in threes?

here's the update

(1) nothing new on aunt marie

(2) g-ma was taken to the hospital early sunday, only to discover she just had a urinary tract infection this time around... successfully treated, and i got a call last night that she was released and sent back to her nursing home... this is good news

(3) a la mom, here's the uncle art update (via IM):
(mom): the lastest per grandma is that he's been sent home to die
(mom): it's just a matter of time
(mom): based on what daddy said, the family wants him to "die with dignity" and was discouraging anyone from coming to the house, including grandma
(me): so getting visits from family takes away from dignity?!
(mom): so other than when she went to the hospital with Bob about a week ago, she hasn't seen him ... at least that is how it sounds
(me): that's so contrary to how my mind works
(me): i'm glad she made it up once
(mom): every family is different...and this one has its oddities
(me): but oi... that's her little brother
(me): who is this coming from? lois or younger generations?
(mom): i don't know...probably Lois and daughter Cheryl
(mom): you know how grandma gets...maybe they don't want to deal with that

oi... so however it goes, that's the scoop.... i went on to comment that g-ma gets fussy and emotional because she cares,... asking family not to visit seems a little harsh to me, but it's not my immediate family, so there's not much more to say about it. anyhow, prayers still for uncle art and aunt marie especially.
