christmasing

so i had planned to hold out til after thanksgiving with the mannheim steamroller and cards and decorations and stuff, but...

(1) 2 of the 6 radio stations bookmarked on my car stereo having been playing christmas tunes for over a week now
(2) it was waaay too tempting to not do math today, so i didn't... instead i got 120 sheets of christmas stationary at staples on sunday, and equally many cards at hallmark today, and printed out my christmas letter (120 copies worth, only 4 jammed and screwed up) and signed them all by hand... with mannheim steamroller blasting in the background the whole time :-)

asked travis earlier, when i listed all the things i was excited about earlier today "please tell me you bought 120 cards in boxes or something, not 120 individually chosen cards... although i'd still think you were cool if you did the latter too" :-P

ironically, i've also heard "walking in memphis" 3 times today, 3 different versions, on 3 different stations,... how funny and random is that?

in other news, i'm home alone (colleen's en route to minnesota already and leigh's in NYC with her mom)... i leave to drive to pittsburgh in the morning, hopefully in time to say goodbye to my foster cousin of 2 years who's moving to a new family tomorrow... but let me tell you -- i have a marvelous evening planned... silly TV, cross stitching, packing, and a whole butternut squash to bake :-) this will be good :-)
