ode to the oil company

turns out for all the mess and getting our landlord involved, the oil company just called to say that the problem is that we had run out of oil and needed more in the tank. originally (in august when we moved in), it was leigh's job to set things up with them. apparently we get 150 gallons of oil put in per month but with the oil creating all our hot water, and generating all the hot water to go through our furnaces and keep the house heated, we've been using more than that per month, ending with us using up all the freakin oil. maybe they recommended that amount to leigh or something, but i had been under the assumption that they were just topping off the tank each month to a certain fill line and we were getting billed appropriately. either way, we get 2 oil bills this month instead of 1, and i get to sit here in a freezing cold house all morning... yuck
