a review

if you followed the link in my AIM away message, you probably want the post below this or the two before that, nonetheless...

last night i saw "bride and prejudice" with leigh and promised a review!... here's the short version :-P

while not perfect to the book, and while not hardcore bollywood, it's an interesting twist of both. i very much enjoyed the music and all the colors. it's a movie i'm glad i saw on the big screen due to that.

as far as plot, it's cute and entertaining, but not insanely new of a story of extremely complex. in the end it was quality.

said a rutgers math prof. earlier this week -- "it's quality, and the critics should be disregarded... they've obviously never been to india."... while i still think it was a little played up, it was happily reminiscent of actual bollywood films i've seen, even though it's not actually one.

it's fun, if love stories or musicals are your thing, see it while it's still out.
